The Section houses three collections:

Collection of people migration covers a period from the last quarter of the 4th to the mid-7th century, with around 1.000 objects of Byzantine and barbarian origin.

Middle Ages Collection covers a period from the early 7th century to the Turkish occupation of Belgrade in 1521, with over 2.000 objects of mostly Serbian origin.

Austrian-Turkish collection relates to the period from the turn of the 16th to the turn of the 19th century, with over 2.000 objects made in Serbia under foreign occupation, but also originating from Turkey or Western countries.
